Motto: To say well is good but to do well is better
Here is a hint of the things we have been doing in 2023
January
February
2023 kicked off with a short walk at The Battlefield Heritage Park and a visit to Battlefield Church on 9th January.
While at our member meeting Alison Utting told us of the work of local girls Dorothy and Eglantyne Jebb whose inspiration saw the founding of the Save the Children Fund.
Our February meeting was another busy night! Squeezing in a meeting and interim AGM before hearing facinating facts about how Crime and Punishment was dealt with in the late Victorian times.
March
April
May
March found us celebrating our 91st birthday with a 3 course meal in Bayston Hill Memorial Hall.
At our April meeting we were 'eggstatic' with the 'eggcellent' display of decorated eggs in aid of the President's charity. We also were given an insight into the work of the Future of Canal Restoration by Chris Fikeis.
June
July
August
Sept
In June we had a last minute change to our programme, and were pleased to welcome Steve who gave us an insight into the work of Shrewsbury Street Pastors.
Our July meeting took us on a journey through The Dorothy Clive Garden with a presentation by their head gardener.
Members enjoyed a relaxing picnic on The Common, for an informal get together.
We were pleased to host the County Autumn Ramble where we showcased stunning views from Lyth Hill in glorious sunshine.
