Motto: To say well is good but to do well is better
Sub Groups
Our sub-groups are going from strength to strength; our walking groups have been out and about exploring ; the lunch club continues to meet monthly; while the book groups have read their way through a range of texts. Along side these we now have a craft Group and don't forget our NEW theatre group.
Walking Group
About Us
Since starting our first the walking group in 2019 we have arranged a series of walks within the local area. The meeting point being within easy reach of public transport or have a nearby carpark wherever possible.
Due to demand, and the help of members who are experienced walkers, we now offer both a longer walk, and the original short walk, which run on different days.
We are always looking for ideas, please see a committee member if there is a route you think we should try.
Short Walk
The next walks will be on the following dates:
Tuesday 14th May
Sharpstones Quarry circular walk
Meet on The Common
10am
coffee stop at Percy Thrower's
Wednesday 19th June
Destination TBC
Long Walk 26th April, 2024
