Here is a hint of the things we have been doing in 2022

January

February

Since returning to regular meetings following Covid we have welcomed a number of new members to our Institute.  Our walking groups have also continued to tackle both long and short walks.

March

April

May

March found us celebrating our 90th birthday with a fantastic 3 course meal supplied by Jane Wilde and her team, which was attended by our County Chairman, Glenys Wheeler.

April was the start of a new year in the WI calendar, when Alan Lees gave an informative talk on this travels photographing whales.

In May, due to a last minute change to the programme, we were entertained by Gill Castle, who gave us glimpses of what really happens when episodes of Bargain Hunt are filmed.

June

July

August

Sept

June saw us discovering parts of Shrewsbury which sometimes can only been seen from 'the bathroom window'! Jewels of architecture uncovered by Dr Nigel Baker.

We were also able to resume our Lunch Club.

Entries were made in the Shrewsbury Flower Show.

September saw the start of our new Craft Club.

October

November

December

In October we tried our hands at making felted pumpkins!

November was our AGM and we were given a quiz to mull over while enjoying our tea and cake.

For the final meeting of 2022 we were entertained by Andrew Crabtree and Brian, where we joined in with some traditional Christmas carols and songs.

Lunch Club held their Christmas meal at The Dorrington Horsehoes and Craft Club made festive wreaths led by one of our members, Rachael.
